On September 22, 1982, the United States began celebrating American Business Women’s Day. The recognition was established by Congress to honor and reflect upon the accomplishments and contributions of women in the work force, as well as women business owners.
In the 1940s, when a large part of the American work force was called upon to serve in the military during World War II, America’s women took up the slack in the workplace. Although, many of these women chose to return home at the end of the war, the numbers of women in the work force has steadily increased since then. According to the US Department of Labor, American women make up 47% of today’s labor force with just under 59% of women ages 16 and over were either employed or looking for work.
But, perhaps one of the greatest strides that American women have made is the ability to be a successful career woman . . . and a mom! And since mamas are what we’re all about, Preggers would like to salute all of our career moms this American Business Women’s Day, September 22.
We know that career mamas are super busy people – both pre-baby and post-baby, so let Preggers give you one less thing to worry about. It’s not hard to put together a maternity ensemble that will keep you looking professional and together, and keep your legs healthy and feeling great. Preggers hosiery will help keep your legs from swelling, as well as feeling tired and achy during the long work day.
Pair a simple, solid color maternity dress with a pair of Preggers Maternity Support Tights or Leggings. Add a smart jacket or blazer and you’re in business. Finish the look with a classic bag and simple accessories. Business Professional!
And when you’re back at work after baby, you might want to try some of our Preggers Support Products. A Preggers Postpartum Support Band may be just the ticket to help your post baby body feel supported. And if you’re nursing, don’t forget a Preggers Nursing Bra or Tank. Both options have easy one-handed access for those pumping sessions at the office.
Wishing Preggesr mamas and all women a Happy American Business Women’s Day!
